The passion fruit (maracuja) comes from the plant passiflora (passion flower). The fruits of the passiflora are known for a fresh, sweet and sour taste with a tropical aroma. The fruit has a jelly-like pulp with many small edible seeds. These seeds are full of vitamins and minerals.
The yellow passion fruit has a beautiful bright color and is slightly milder in taste than the well-known purple variety. It contains vitamin C, B, A, fiber, antioxidants and minerals. The passion fruit has one of the most powerful flavors that you can add to your smoothie or bowl. Delicious in combination with mango puree!
Our passion fruit is sun-ripened in South America and picked at the best moment. The fruit is then carefully pureed and frozen. This way, the aromas and nutritional values are optimally preserved and nothing is wasted!
