The acerola is also called barbados cherry or West Indian cherry. It is a tropical fruit with a fresh sour taste and known for its very high vitamin C content. It contains about 20 times more vitamin C than oranges! The fruit has an orange to red peel and the flesh is yellow-orange in color. These delicious cherries make every smoothie or fruit bowl a delicious colorful moment for yourself.
The fruit is sun-ripened in South America and picked at the best moment. The fruit is then carefully pureed and frozen. This way, the aromas and nutritional values are optimally preserved and nothing is wasted!
