  • 100g Acai Amsterdam Premium Açaí Pads (sugar-free): Our pads are of the highest quality, direct from Brazil, and provide that authentic Açaí taste and texture.
  • 1 Large Frozen Banana: Slice the banana beforehand and freeze for at least 4 hours. This is crucial for the creaminess and natural sweetness of your bowl. The riper the banana, the sweeter your bowl!
  • 30ml to 50ml Liquid: Less is more! Start with a small amount and gradually add. You want a thick, spoonable consistency.
    • Apple juice: For a subtle sweetness and fruity undertone.
    • Coconut Water: For a tropical, refreshing taste and electrolytes.
    • Almond milk (unsweetened): For extra creaminess and a slightly nutty flavor.
    • Water: If you want to let the pure Açaí flavor shine and limit calories.

  1. Preparing the Banana (Key Tip!): Always start by slicing ripe bananas and freezing them completely. This will give you the desired thick, ice-cold, and creamy texture without needing too much ice.
  2. Starting in the Blender: First, add the liquid (start with 30ml!) to your blender. This allows the blades to turn more smoothly.
  3. The Star Ingredients: Break your frozen Acai Amsterdam Açaí pods into smaller pieces, if desired, and add them to the blender along with the frozen banana. Add your optional boosters, if desired.
  4. Let's Blend! (Patience is a Virtue):
    • Turn the blender on low speed to 'break' the ingredients.
    • Increase the speed gradually.
    • It is a thick mixture, so you will need to stop occasionally and scrape down the sides of the blender with a spatula.
    • If your blender has a tamper, use it to push the ingredients toward the blades.
    • Blend until you have a completely smooth, thick, and creamy purée—just like soft serve! This may take a little while, but it's worth it.
  5. Check the consistency: The açaí puree should be so thick that it's almost difficult to blend. If it's really hard, add a tiny bit (5-10 ml) of extra liquid at a time and blend briefly. Don't add too much, or your bowl will be too thin!
  6. Serving and topping: Spoon the thick açaí puree directly into a cold bowl (tip: freeze it briefly for extra coolness!). This prevents the bowl from melting too quickly.
