Acai is known for its many health benefits. Originally, the Acai berry (pronounced assa-ee-bes) comes from the Amazon rainforest. Locals have been eating this fruit for centuries as a healing 'energy booster'.
Guarana also comes from the Amazon region. It is a nutty seed known for its delicious sweet taste. This berry contains high levels of caffeine, and has been used by the indigenous population for centuries as a natural 'energy supplement'. Guarana is often used in Brazil as a means of improving performance, both mentally and physically.
Our Açai with Guaraná comes from the Amazon rainforest. The berry is picked ripe from the açai palm (Euterpe oleracea) and then pureed whole. The resulting fruit pulp is immediately frozen. The taste and nutritional values are optimally preserved in this way.
