Ingredients for Your Protein Power Açaí Bowl

  • 100g Açaí Puree pads from Acai Amsterdam (the base for your superfood bowl!)
  • 1 frozen banana (cut into pieces before freezing)
  • 120g frozen beetroot (a smart way to get extra vegetables, or replace with 120g frozen berries/cherries for an even fruitier result)
  • 1 large scoop of vegan clear whey protein powder with blackcurrant flavor (for that essential protein boost and delicious taste)
  • 1 teaspoon cinnamon
  • 1 handful of ice cubes
  • 1/2 cup (approx. 120 ml) water or plant-based milk (almond milk, coconut water, oat milk, or water – start with less and add as needed)
  • Optional: 1/2 cup frozen berries or cherries (for extra fruitiness and antioxidants)

How to Make: Your Creamy Protein Açaí Bowl

  1. Preparing Açaí: Remove the bag of Açaí Amsterdam Açaí Puree Drops from the freezer. Tip: Briefly run the bag under warm water. This will make the frozen puree easier to remove from the packaging and blend.
  2. Basic mix: Place the frozen beetroot (or berries /cherries), half of the frozen banana pieces, the vegan clear whey, the cinnamon and a small amount (start with 60 ml) of the chosen liquid into the blender.
  3. Açaí and Ice: Now add the Açaí Puree Drops and the handful of ice cubes to the blender.
  4. Blend to Perfection: Blend on high speed. Begin by pulsing and then blend continuously. The key is to use as little liquid as possible to keep the bowl nice and thick and creamy. If the blender struggles, add more liquid a little at a time until the mixture is smooth and there are no solid chunks of açaí or fruit.
  5. Serving: Pour the thick, creamy mixture into your favorite bowl.
